process

Our design process is aimed at facilitating the seamless evolution of a project and incorporates client feedback at every step. Each project is unique (with varying timeframes, budgets, and priorities), but we loosely work to the following design stages:

Project Briefing

First, we listen. We harvest as much information as possible: a client’s aspirations, their priorities and their aesthetic preferences, as well as, their dislikes. We also talk through the floorplans, furniture layouts, and the target timeframe and budgets – this initial consultation phase sets the framework for the entire project.

Look & Feel

Interior design is an evolving process, and it starts here. This initial presentation is a visual interpretation of the client’s brief, which develops the identity or ‘design DNA’ of the project.

Concept design

More focused design work is broken down by space to include details on hard finishes, architectural features, furnishings, lighting, and room layouts. These elements are then presented to the client using a series of moodboards encompassing material samples, finishes, and examples of furnishings.

developed design

Incorporating feedback from the earlier design phases, the design is evolved into final schemes ready for implementation. These may include technical drawings, schedules, budgets, and layouts. In many cases, we thoughtfully provide 3D architectural renderings to illustrate the overall design intent for various spaces, aiming to better assist the client in visualising the finished product in its entirety.

Project coordination

We are used to working within a wider team and pride ourselves on our efficiency, communication and time keeping. We are always respectful of budgets and client timelines. Regular site visits allow us to review work in person and help with problem-solving during the various phases of the project.

FF&E (furniture, fittings & equipment)

We procure all furnishings, lighting, and decorative fittings, and oversee vendor/supplier management and deliveries. Often times, items are kept safe in storage (having been carefully quality checked) until installation.

installation & handover

After the site is fully prepared and ready for the next phase, all furnishings, accessories, and artwork are installed. We take the time to supervise the hanging and precise placement of all items to ensure a truly beautiful and harmonious arrangement in the space.
